US immigration data from Galveston, Texas and Ellis Island, New York, NY
shows families coming from either Nowen or Nomen, Poland. Have been unable
to find this town using Multimap or JewishGen ShtetlSeeker.

Anyone have any ideas about where the town is?

Thank you, Kay, for your FAST reply! I did not think about using
kartenmneister. A little asleep at the switch. This will help me help a
friend, who has known hardly anything about his ancestors.
