Any Kopyras out there from Lackie Male Poland? I'm specifically searching
for an uncle - Czeslaw Kopyra he is/was the 3rd of four brothers. There was
Adam - my father, Julian, Czeslaw, and Stefan. Parents were Poitr and Anna.
I have been lucky to get some information from a very reliable source but
nothing on Czeslaw who could very well still be alive as he must have been
in his mid 30's when I met him in 1966 in Poland.

Could not locate a Lackie Male, Poland. There are two Laski Male locations,
one in the northeast part of Poland in Suwalki area, the other in the west
central in the Bydgoszcz area. There are some other similarly spelled
towns, but these look to be the most likely.

Do you think either of these could be the correct town? You can use
Multimap at http://www.multimap.com/ to look up the towns on a map of
Poland.

Let me know which (if either) of these is the correct town, and I may have
some further help for you.

One more question about the place -- Lackie Male, what provence
would that be in Suwalki or Bydgoszcz?

Lackie Male was/is (because I don't know current name, maybe the same) a
villige near Zloczów (Zloczow), now it is in Ukraine. That is in the
middle
beetwen Lwów (Lviv) and Tarnopol (Ternopil).

So should I assume than that Lackie Male is now Laski Male?
My cousin has been able to give information on everybody but this uncle
which
makes me wonder if there was some kind of rift in the family. Other info on
him
is that his wife is Maria and they had 3 children, 2 daughters and a son.

ShetlSeeker at http://www.jewishgen.org/Communities/LocTown.asp finds a
Latske Male that is right between Lviv and Tarnopol and about 6 miles west
of Zolociv (Zloczow).

Believe that Latske Male is the "Lackie Male" that you are searching for.

Will do some more searching for you later today.
