A search at the Ellis Island immigration site at http://www.ellisisland.org/
shows no GUDABA listing.

There are the following similar names:

Name of Passenger Residence Arrived Age on
Arrival

1. Heromhan Godeba Galicia, Gorory Glimilk 1913 18
2. Adam Godoba Hungary 1904 41
3. George P. Gateba USA 1894 35
4. Martha C. Gateba USA 1894 37

A search on the Internet for GUDABA will get about 281 hits. Some appear to
be only words, not proper surnames. But, some are surnames, and some appear
to be from India or nearby countries, but some appear to be Slavic, in
looking at the sites and the first names. Some of the hits have the first
part of the name as Gudaba.

Type of names:

Srinivasan Gudabati
Vladimir Gudaba
Padmalatha Gudaba
Milan Gudába - Slovakia
Miroslav Gudába - Bratislava
Jaroslav Gudába - Slovakia

A search in the Slovakia phone directory at http://www.zoznam.sk/ finds 128
Gudaba listings.

Put Gudaba in first block, then click on "Hladaj".

Not a lot of help. But maybe some direction for you. Looks like Gudaba is
Slovakian.

Good luck on your search.
