Hi,
I'm working on my husband's, Polish, Pinksaw family.
So, far I have found relatives that spell the surname differently.
Besides Pinksaw, there is Penksa, Penxa, and I'm sure there are many more.
Finally, my question?
Is there an American name for, Jadwiga?
If, anyone knows of anyone with these surnames, please let me know.
Thank you,
Nancy Pinksaw

You might want to try the Soundex Code for any of the possible variants:

Jadwiga might be more Germanic Hedwig or maybe Scandinavian.
